20th July 2010 a convoy of vehicles departed from Parma, Italy. Four of the vehicles were equipped to run without a driver. And they did.

28th October 2010 the VisLab Intercontinental Autonomous Challenge marked its official conclusion at the 2010 World Expo European Pavillion in Shanghai, China, recording a novel great achievement in the field of vehicular robotics.
