MobLab

During our participation within the Prometheus Project (1989-1994) all the italian research units shared the same vehicle prototype. It was a Mobile Laboratory (named MobLab) on which we installed some cameras and a completely custom system developed as a cooperation between the University of Parma and the Politechnic of Turin (Italy). It was a SIMD processor with 256 processing elements able to process images in real-time. It also had two inputs (for a stereo system) and one analog video output (for a monitor).
