In the last 15 years we have developed a very flexible software framework, named GOLD, able to provide the programmer with all the tools for a fast prototyping of applications in the automotive field (but not only!). It allows to acquire images from multiple cameras (analog, digital, many different video formats) and data from many different sources (radar, laserscanner, CAN data,...); all the acquired data are timestamped and stored on disk for an efficientl playback in laboratory. Accelerated graphical boards allow to speed up the processing and the rendering of the results.

Applications are developed as plug-ins and may be detached from the GOLD framework, once the algorithm is finally tested and freezed. The GOLD software is now being ported to different platforms other the the original Linux one.
