VDCL Grandeur


This vehicle has been used in the Hyundai Autonomous Competion (HAC) in November 2010.

Hyundai Autonomous Competition is one of the new events that try to motivate the research in the field of ADAS systems and autonomous vehicles. This competition consists in driving a fully autonomous car on a track of about 4 km located at Namyang R&D Center of Hyundai-Motor Company in South Korea. It is possible to see the track in the figure below. It is composed by an off-road part, no-pavement road and lane road .

The missions on the track are off-road driving, pass through barriers, tunnel driving, lane keeping, cross road detection and obstacle avoidance.

Only Korean Universities are allowed to participate and 11 team were selected.
