BRAiVE travelling to China

BRAiVE is just back from a trip to China, where it has been demonstrated to the IEEE Intelligent Vehicles Symposium, June 3-5, 2009, in Xi'an, China.

During this event, the new functionality called 'Stop & Go' was demonstrated: BRAiVE is able to locate a generic vehicle in front, virtually hook it, and follow it. BRAiVE controls both speed (gas and brake) and steering in autonomous mode.

This function is designed to help the driver in queue driving, and brings with it the advangate of improving fuel efficiency as well as providing the driver with a more relaxed driving task.
